Any reason why this is not working? GraphicsDeviceType is not supported by the 8i Unity Plugin [Metal]

I am using Unity with Macbook Pro with Mojave Please let me know. Do I need to roll the OS Back? Hopefully not. Wanting to get this done this week. Please let me know. Thanks.

  The current release 0.6.0 Unity plugin doesn't support Metal renderer on Mac. Please switch Unity's renderer to OpenGL to use the plugin.

  I followed this tutorial .. when I m running this on my iOS device ....after tapping on the detected plane the apps get crashed again and again
